Bavarian specialty roaster from Traunstein/Chieming with four cafés, organic-certified beans and a direct-trade story stretching from Peru to Lake Chiemsee.

Sourcing

Exclusively organic and small-project lots, built on personal relationships with farmers visited regularly. Operates own plantation in Peru since 2025 with on-site solar drying.

Roasting style

Drum-roasted in small batches, focused on rounded, chocolatey profiles rather than experimental fermentations.

Visiting

Roastery + café in Chieming (Hauptstraße 28); flagship café and former roastery in Traunstein (Stadtplatz 40); cafés in Rosenheim and Salzburg, both since handed to local operators while keeping the KAVA brand.
