Daily Roast
AboutIndependent project

An independent directory for European specialty coffee.

Daily Roast is a public catalog for browsing roasters and the coffees they currently list. It exists so you can browse hundreds of roasters' current menus in one place — not a checkout funnel, and not a ranking engine.

What Daily Roast is

What Daily Roast is

A calm directory for discovering European specialty roasters — organised by roaster, by coffee, by place.

Editorial intent

What it covers today

Three ways into the same catalog.

  • 01

    Roasters

Independent specialty roasters across European markets, listed with the public information they share on their own sites.

  • 02

    Coffees

The single-origin coffees and blends those roasters currently list on their public catalog pages.

  • 03

    Ways in

Browse by roaster country, by coffee origin, or by process — the same catalog, three different doors.

How we keep the directory useful

What Daily Roast shows — and what it does not claim.

The directory is built from publicly available catalog information. We try to be honest about its shape and its limits.

We do

  • List publicly available roasters

If a roaster has a public site and a public catalog, they belong here on equal footing with everyone else.

  • Reflect what we observe

We show the coffees we have observed on a roaster's public pages — nothing further, nothing inferred.

  • Show when a listing was last observed

Each coffee carries the date our catalog last observed it on the roaster's public pages, so you can judge a listing for yourself.

We don’t

  • Rank or score roasters

There is no leaderboard, no star rating, no editorial ranking. Browsing order is structural, not qualitative.

  • Sell coffee

Daily Roast is a directory. When you decide to buy, you go to the roaster's own shop.

  • Claim completeness

Some roasters and coffees will be missing or only partially described. The directory grows over time.

  • Invent reviews or claims

We do not write tasting notes, fabricate roaster biographies, or attach commentary the roaster did not publish themselves.

Why it exists

Built for discovery. Buying happens with the roaster.

Hundreds of small roasters across Europe each maintain their own site, their own catalog, and their own rotating menu. There is no single place to wander through what's currently on offer without opening a dozen tabs.

Daily Roast collects that public information into one consistent place. Find a roaster, find a coffee, follow it back to the shop that sells it.

Operator

Who runs this.

Independent project

A small, independent operation.

Daily Roast is built and maintained by a single operator. A fuller introduction will live here once the public biography is ready. In the meantime, the directory itself is the work.
